AnyWorld is a place where you can anonymously be yourself with no worries about tracing via unknown sources.
We are an anonymous community that has been abandoned and deactivated because of censorship and was the home base for a successful revolution.
This subject matter and materials are related because webpages make up everything we use now and we need technology to complete this project, just like how we need technology for everything in life.
This piece is relevant to the world now because people are being censored all the time. Even “trusted” news sources can’t be trusted to tell the whole truth because they’re concerned with pulling people in a specific political/moral opinion. Somehow this piece has slipped through the cracks and the revolution succeeded.
The history of the page is a place untraceable by internet monitors. The webpage doesn’t exist and can only be accessed by word of mouth. What appears to be a simple web game is actually a portal into secret plans of overthrowing the oppressive government in this narrative.
My inspiration for this piece was the surveillance state that our media is in. Every google search, every website we visit, everything we type online. It is impossible to leave absolutely no trace. Anything that could be deemed suspicious or a threat would be removed or taken down by those who would want to suppress others.
The questions I want to ask by making this piece are- is the government gone too far in trying to keep track of us? How does high surveillance of every online interaction affect these things.Made with Glitch!
